A viewer for STEP files (ISO 10303-21), written in Rust. It also opens IGES, FreeCAD documents, BREP, STL and OBJ, and reads a 3DXML far enough to say which geometry it holds. Wherever the file carries a boundary representation you get colours, the assembly tree and an exact volume; a plain mesh says so instead of showing zeroes as if they were measurements. The OpenCASCADE kernel is linked statically — there is nothing to install beside it.

The same idea, on the desktop: open a document, read it, print it, search it — and nothing else. The window and the document are up in about 30 to 40 ms. PDF, and now comic books in CBZ and CBR — the content decides, not the extension, so a “.cbr” that is really a ZIP opens all the same. Continuous scrolling, zoom to width or to 100 %, drag to pan, drop a file on the window, a find bar with F3, a thumbnail panel (F4), and a two-page spread (D) with the cover on its own, as in a book. The next page is decoded ahead on a thread of its own, so reading stays smooth. It can be set as the default reader. Written in plain Win32 C without the C runtime, so the program itself is 84 KB; the download is larger because Windows, unlike Android, has no PDF engine of its own and PDFium travels with it. Links in a document open in your browser — only http, https and mailto, so a PDF cannot start a program. No permissions, no advertising, no tracking. Interface in French or English, following Windows.

Command palette, built-in text editor and undo for file operations, and video compression that carries its own ffmpeg — no separate install, which is what makes the download a large one. A Light edition leaves the compression and ffmpeg out, a fifth of the size; it installs alongside the complete one and the two share their settings. Interface and installer both switch between French and English.

A native Windows video player built on libmpv, the engine behind mpv: it starts at once, decodes in hardware and opens very nearly every format. Double-click a video and it plays. Frame stepping, playback speed, audio track selection, subtitles — embedded, dropped on the window, or picked up automatically when a file sits beside the video. It also carries the video compression window of DynaCommander, same engine and same options, which runs in the background while you keep watching. Nothing else to install: the player, libmpv, the Vulkan loader and ffmpeg all travel with it, and that is what makes the download a large one. A Light edition leaves the compression out — the same player, without ffmpeg, a third of the size. It installs as a separate application, alongside the complete one rather than in its place: its own name, icon, settings and file associations.
